Just Chillin'

One lazy Saturday night, I dragged my boyfriend to come with me to BLU Bar & Grill. I haven't been there and I've been wanting to go since 2010. Finally!!! After 48 years... haha...

It's located at the Penthouse of the Marco Polo Hotel (Cebu). It's a thousand feet high, so it's overlooking the city.

I so love the place. I liked the blue lights. The music wasn't too loud. And the best part - not crowded! You can just sit down, relax, drink whatever, feel the wind kiss your cheeks (or mess up your hair...haha) and enjoy the breath-taking panoramic view. We had a great time. The cool breeze was enough to keep my boyfriend sweat-free. Haha... He sweats like crazy. (ooops! sorry baby... haha)

Anyway, we weren't that hungry so we just had some refreshments and pica-pica. Didn't feel like drinking anything alcoholic either.

Fresh Mango Shake, Chocolate Shake, Cashew Nuts (Complimentary)

I got intrigued by their BBQ Pork Ribs with Calamansi, so we ordered that too. It was really good. And the meat just falls off the bone. Yum!!!

I forgot the exact price of everything but it cost us like PHP 600. It ain't  cheap but it's worth it.

I am definitely going back there. The next time, I'm so gonna eat like a full course dinner or try some of their "award-winning cocktails" (as what they've advertised) and see if it's indeed worth the claim.

And oh, in case you want to know, they are open from Tuesdays to Sundays. Also, they sort of have a dress code. No shorts or flip-flops. No sleeveless tops for men.

Over and out! :)

The "C" Factory Experience

I visited my friend in California back in October and we had lunch at The Cheesecake Factory. I am insanely crazy about cheesecakes, so I was really ecstatic when we went there. It was my first time so I was really anxious to try their cheesecakes.

I really liked the ambiance. My only problem was the lighting - it's just hard to take good photos on low-light situations. Anyway, we were seated and greeted by a really friendly and good-looking waiter. He even looked like Robert Pattinson (sorry, I missed to take a photo of him... haha).

...take a peek inside

As soon as I got the menu, I immediately checked out the dessert portion. And man, they have all sorts of cheesecakes. They have 38 kinds of cheesecakes... yeah, just cheesecakes! It's crazy! And, they all looked really yummy to me. I just wanted to try 'em all. And they have like hundreds of dishes to choose from for appetizers and main course. It was just so hard to decide.

Here's what we ended up ordering...

Dynamite Shrimp
Crispy tempura shrimp tossed with their spicy dynamite sauce.

Hibachi Steak
Certified Angus hanger steak with shiitake mushrooms, onions, bean sprouts, wasabi mashed potatoes and tempura asparagus.

Louisiana Chicken Pasta
Parmesan crusted chicken served over pasta with mushrooms, peppers and onions in a spicy New Orleans sauce.

And finally, the best part... say hello to their Fresh Strawberry Cheesecake!!! I  just love it to death. Yes, it is so fattening but what the heck... simply irresistible! <3

My first experience was awesome! The Cheesecake Factory is officially one of my favorite restaurants in the US. Just thinking about their food makes me drool.

FYI: I just borrowed the food description from their menu.
